SPRINKLES!!

Good Evening,

This is the view from the balcony before I headed out for dinner. Not the prettiest, but still nice. I find it hard to see the actual ocean/water in the pictures.

When I was trying to open the door and get through I kind of got stuck. . . HEY the door IS heavy! Lol it's okay though because later my friend got stuck too.

For dinner my friends and I went to the Ocean View Terrace since we have yet to try it. I thought it would have been nicer, but it was okay. The view was pretty, but the windows and stuffs get in the way. I had sweet potato fries, blueberry yogurt, granola, strawberries and cream froyo, and SPRINKLES! I have a strange attraction to sprinkles. Maybe because they are so darn colorful. Not sure but they made my day.

Back at the common room my friend made this joke:

  • Why does Sarah fall off the swing?
  • Because she has no arms
  • Knock knock
  • Who's there?
  • Not Sarah
We were busting up way harder than we should have been. I think it even got to the point where we silently laughed. My throat hurts when I laugh now too lol

Off to do more homework,

Back To Reality

Afternoon,

Surprisingly I slept well last night. It was like a deep sleep, but someone's alarm clock went off at like 7 am then ten mins later till like 8. I couldn't fall back asleep so I missed out on a good amount of sleep. Ate half a bar for breakfast and was on my way to class. Chem wasn't as scary as I thought it would have been. Still don't like it though. Math class was funny because my professor had problems writing in a certain spot on the board, but could write on the rest of the board with easy. After he got the chalk to write everyone applauded him.

I think lunch is my motivation to live through Chem and Math. Didn't want to wait in the crazy long lines so I got some salad to eat with my musubi from home. I was kind of disappointing when I didn't see cucumber or croutons.

My MMW class was interestingish . . . During his whole schpeel I had no idea what to write down as far as notes go. Then when I would hear him say something important I had no clue how to spell it to write it down. Finally made it to ASL!! So glad I end my day with ASL because I just enjoy it so much! Tbh I use my ASL homework as a break between other homeworks. Does that make me odd?

Cloudy With A Chance Of Meatballs 2

Morning everyone,

Yesterday was my last day, well more like half day, at home. I slept in a bit and went to get SJ. Plus I wanted to visit his new baby kitty. I think he/she is adorable!! It fell asleep on my leg while I was petting behind its ear. When it purrs it is too cute! Too bad when I next visit, he/she will be bigger.

I have been waiting a very long time to watch Cloudy With A Chance Of Meatballs 2. Luckily my brother wanted to see is so the whole family and SJ got to go see it. I think it is all the colors and animation that attracts me to this movie.

After the movie I had to pack so I could return to college. Living at home makes me feel like I am in a whole different world. It makes me forget I have to go to college and that I'm not a little kid anymore. As we were leaving I started to feel a little sad again. Not too much though. In the car I felt like I was just going to the mall or like to visit a family member. Then when we got to school my body realized nope it's not a bad dream; it is reality. Made tofu with soy sauce and sugar for dinner. Found out I had to read like 18 pages for my MMW class and do some reading for ASL. ASL was a breeze because we learned it in class and I enjoy ASL so much for some reason. MMW took me quite a while due to my note taking. Eventually got to bed shortly after 12. Miss sleeping with my baby

Leaving for class in 10,

8AM, Yeah Right

Hi everybody,

Soooo I planned to wake up at 8 or 9, but without my trusty alarm clock I was dead to the world till 10. Guess I over slept a tad. SJ came to pick me up and on the way to his house he agreed to stop by Starbucks. They changed their look since I've been gone! I think it looks a lot more fancy and cute cuz of the pink.
I ordered my favorite sandwich, the roasted tomato and mozzarella panini! Since I am picky I always ask them to keep it in the toaster for a bit longer than usual. This way I know my cheese will be all gooey and the bread toasted to perfection! I don't eat the spinach in the sandwich so I dissect my sandwich to remove all the bits of spinach. I used to throw away the spinach, but now that I've got SJ he eats it for me. Have you heard of the movie Epic? Well that's the movie SJ and I watched. I didn't think I would like it, but I really enjoyed it.

Got home in time to have dinner with my grandparents. They were so excited to see me. I mean they were asking so many questions. For example:
  • Where do you live?
  • Do you walk?
  • Is it near the train station?
  • Can you see the ocean?
  • How many classes are you taking?
  • Do you have lots of homework?

After my grandparents left my mom went on her search for black widow spiders. Every now and then my mom will take a flashlight outside to look for black widow spiders. We spotted a few outside and it kind of surprised me since the bug people come to spray.

Think I will put some hair tinsel in after I shower. Night you guys!

Home Sweet Home

Evening guys,

My mom, brother, and doggie came to pick me up today. Everyone in the suite was so excited to meet my mom, brother, and especially my doggie. Suite mates and I took my baby for a walk around the green. Had to take my blag side purse, backpack, duffle, and shopping bag home. Grabbed some McDonalds for dinner on the way home. Arrived at home around 9 and guess what I saw in my room?! Balloons how exciting right? Such a pretty color too!

I did a survey thing online over a month and a half ago. I was told I would get some samples in the mail, but I never did. I found my samples on my nightstand. So excited! I think I will try it out this weekend while I am home. Hopefully it helps control the fly aways I get.

I do miss you all back at the suite. Have fun and be safe if you go to the beach party! Take pictures for me too!

Up at 8ish . . . okay maybe 9 lol Oh and got off my Math wait list! Now I get to buy that $242 or sumthn book

Four Lecture Day -.-

Hey there,

I had four lectures today, yes it was quite a bit. Planned to take the shuttle, but had to walk in the end. Took me about 12 minutes to get from breakfast to my Chem class. I'm glad I got there early because there was a mob sized crowd outside my class door. My Chem class had more students than seats. Being short I find it hard to see over people. Today I sat in the very back due to the crazy mob of people. My final is like 42% of my grade. Eeks right?

Then I had ten minutes to get to my Math class. Luckily Bob saved me a seat! (Thanks Bob!) My teacher is very thin and tall. He seems like a nice guy so I think I will be able to easily ask him questions.
Met up with another friend at Pines for a quick lunch. I was a bit hungrier than usual so I got salad and pizza. I forgot to put croutons in my salad :( and they didn't have the same dressing I had the other day. Wasn't bad though. Yes there is a piece of pizza under all of that parmesan cheese!

MMW class was interesting . . . My teacher liked to joke a lot and he had some technical difficulties. Not looking forward to MMW.

Last class of the day, ASL! When I first walked in I thought the TA was just not talking because it IS Sign Lang after all. Turns out he is deaf. I think that it is so fascinating!! I was so intrigued by him!
He told us that his rules are:
  • NO speaking
  • NO phones
  • ALWAYS eyes forward
I learned a lot in class and I will say that as of now this is my FAVORITE class!

Exhausted, but at least I made it through the day in one piece.

First Day Of Class

Evening,

Only had 2 classes, well discussions, but I am still wait listed for one. Oh that reminds me, I got off the wait list for my sign lang class. Sooo I had a discussion for an hour and 20 mins. My teacher didn't even talk. Not one word! Which is a good thing since my French teacher talked in English a lot and I didn't learn much French. This one guy came in late and turns out he has the same name as my brother! I realized that when he was trying to introduce himself to me. I met with a few friends for lunch at Pines. It was the first time I've had salad since I've been here. I loved it! Probably because I missed the crunch and freshness of salad. My sister will get me.

I took advantage of having one class and went down to Ralph's and a shoe store. We saw this cool bike! Isn't it awesome?? My friend yelled "I like your bike!" and waved at him. The guy was cool about it by smiling and waving back.

Back home I was looking for high heel shoes at Tilly's and on sale they were $45. I found a pair in size 5.5 for $40. They were on sale so I got em for $30 including tax. Not bad right? I was so thrilled when I found the pair that I didn't wana take em off. Do any of you guys do that or is it just me?

At Ralph's I got 2 frozen entrees and a container of raspberries for a total of $4. We used the Ralph's card to get a discount too! I had the cheese, broccoli, and pasta one for dinner. Not as tasty as I thought it would be, but it is still decent for a frozen meal.

Back at the grass near our dorm we got some free snacks. There's a movie night, but I want to work on my Chem stuffs. I got a small bag of cheetos, watermelon poprocks, and mini gummy bears!

To be honest I think I am getting enough free food, utensils, cups, straws, and napkins to pay for some of my school . . . Well not yet though. Only taken like ten forks, four straws, five cups, etc.

UCSD Unolympics!

Hey there,

So UCSD has unolympic games/competition. I did not participate in the dancing part so I stood with the girls and watched. Here's some videos for you guys to watch. Sorry that it's all blurry. . . my camera is not the best camera out there. So if you need to, use your imagination! Hope you enjoy!

La Jolla Shores Beach!

Afternoon,

The girls down the hall and I got up early and met to eat at 8 am. Figured since school school is starting tomorrow we should take advantage of our last free day. I had leftover fruit from a few days ago, two pieces of bacon, syrup, water, and my vitamins.

This is how close the bus takes us to the beach

We were in no mood to walk to the beach so we took the S shuttle down to the beach. The view was sooooo amazing! Sorry I didn't video tape the ride down. These are my friends from a few doors down! The sand is extremely fine compared to home. Back home the beaches have a bunch of trash and glass in the sand, but there's like none here.

I asked my friend to take a picture of me so I could show you all. Isn't the beach beautiful?! I love how the water feels refreshing. Plus just being at this beach makes me feel relaxed. Guess I will come here every once in a while.

Thought this was interesting. We got to spot a few of these animals/plants. After walking along the beach we found our feet covered in sand . . . So Bob suggested we take a bus to see where it would take us.

The bus took us downtown someplace. I honestly never really know where I am. Bob and I were craving Mexican food so we pulled the string to get dropped off near a Mexican restaurant. I enjoyed my beans, rice, and half a gignormous tortilla! Went to a 7 Eleven to look for a bathroom and grab an Arizona Ice tea for my room. Turns out 7 Eleven didn't have a bathroom, but the Mexican place had a bathroom a few doors down. So we went back so I could ask for the key to go potty.

Write to you all soon!

Convocation Dinner Thingy

Hi again,

Soooo there was a convocation dinner for free so of course me and my friends (same from the whole day) went. For those of you that helped me move in, the event was on the field with all the tables and chairs. I took a few videos to show you all what it was like. There were tons of people in all of the sections. The sad thing is that the three of us sat in the middle of a big empty area.

Sorry but videos are having problems uploading. Maybe it is the slow wifi here.

Crowd when they dismissed us to get food. they had some
strange chicken thing...and turkey wraps. Also they had fruit,
ice cream, and soda.
I chose the turkey wrap because tbh the
chicken thing scared me. Not a fan of
turkey or wraps though. Saved it for later.

These guys took tons of sodas. They kept running back
and laughing about stealing a bunch of sodas.

They told us to do this "I Will" promise. So
here's mine. May be tough at times, but I
will still try. After doing this and turning it in we
got a pin with a 17 for our grad yr.

Long day, but I am playing LIFE with the girls and a new girl too. It's pathetic because she lives right next door from me. She's from China too. LIFE is fun and right now I have a husband and a little girl.

Shuttle & Buses

Evening,

Yesterday I met a few people that live a few doors down from me. They are really nice and I spent the whole day with two of them. Woke up late, ate tater tots and bacon for breakfast. We took the shuttle around campus. Literally around campus. We even passed our stop to get to the Price Center. These are the different shuttles and routes they take. Overwhelming right? Have to learn some of them.

I wanted to find a bus to Balboa, but ended up going in circles and returning to my dorm. Was a bit hungry for lunch so I got Panda Express.  After eating some of my food I picked out all the veggies in the noodles, like normal. Only ate like three pieces of chicken and decided I wasn't really hungry. Walked to the bookstore and bought a book and a planner. The walk back to the dorm is long, but carrying stuff makes it even longer and more tiring. Kept my leftovers for a future meal though. I should probably write the date so I don't get sick from it.

Took the shuttle again and I got to pull the string thingy to request a stop. Not that exciting for normal people, but I got overly excite about it . . . When you pull the string you hear a ding noise. Kind of cool I guess.

Saw this cool sign and I think one day I will try one of these drinks.

Classes?

Evening,

So after getting back from UTC, Bhong came to my dorm to help me find all my classes. We walked across campus and all in between. My feet are sore and my shins were getting sore too. Sadly I couldn't go to the bookstore because it was closed. I have to go to the bookstore as well as the gym tomorrow. Bhong tried to get me to eat and on the way back to my dorm we stopped by a boba place. I got a mango snow bubble and it was good. I have yet to finish it still though.

My roommates are so sweet. They went to dinner when I was out and they brought me back chips to eat! I couldn't say no so I ate some of them already and I am saving some for later. Maybe this is the start of me regaining my appetite. Or at least we hope so right?

Thought I would leave you all with this picture from my balcony. I miss home, but the view is nice.

I Survived The Bus!

Hi again,

My roommates and I took the school shuttle to the bus station and then the bus to UTC aka the mall. To be honest I had no idea how to figure out which stop to get off at. I mean UTC was obvious, but not sure which shuttle stop to get to which bus or which bus I needed. Luckily my roommates' friend knew where to go.

The inside of the bus was decently clean. I get motion sick easily and I started to get a headache. Since the bus rocks a lot I told myself to think of it as a ride at Disneyland. Surprisingly my headache went away! As I sit here writing this I do feel like I am still on the bus though.

So we made it to UTC. They were hungry so we headed to the food court to find some grub. We ate at the Indian food place. I wasn't hungry still so I had some of a vegetable samosa and some water. I looked around Forever21, but didn't really find anything. At Hollister I found a pair of shorts. IKR? I don't normally shop at Hollister because it is so expensive. The last time I was at Hollister was many years ago . . . I know these shorts look really short, but they are about the same length as the shorts I own now. What really sold me, besides the gems on the front, is the fact that the shorts go longer in the back. That way I don't need to worry about my butt showing! They were originally $59.50. I got them for $20 + tax. Good deal right? That's even cheaper than the ones I buy from American Eagle!

Oh and on the bus ride back I picked up these little booklet things in hopes that they will help me not get lost in San Diego. Guess I know what I will be studying! I also asked the bus driver how to get to the scuba shop and he said I have to take the 202 then switch to the 27. Or at least I think that's what he said. I am trying not to worry too much because I still have to pass the swim test!

Breakfast?

Morning everyone,

After a very emotional experience during the day, my friend and I met to go eat diner. Turns out the dinning hall near me closes at 8pm. We walked around to see where else was open, but the longer we looked the less hungry I got. I wasn't hungry to start with because I had a big breakfast and my mind wasn't thinking about food. So ended up just going back to my dorm to get ready for bed. The bed is a lot smaller than I last remembered. I am a petite individual and I felt like I couldn't turn in my bed. I ended up sleeping on my back for the first time in a very long time. Didn't take me long to fall asleep, but staying asleep was a bit more difficult. I found myself looking at the clock at 6, 7, 8, and finally 9 am. Although I didn't feel tired I couldn't make myself get out of bed, or move for that matter.

My roommate and I went to eat breakfast at the near by dinning hall. Turns out I wasn't hungry yet again . . . I knew my mom would want me to eat so I kind of forced myself to drink chocolate milk and eat a bit of yogurt. I tried to eat my fruit, but I only ate three pieces of pineapple and saved the rest for later. So I didn't buy much to eat, but guess the cost?! It was $8! My milk was like $2 and I don't know about the rest. Want to know a funny story about the yogurt? This is my first time eating while living in the dorms so I am new to how they price things. I originally put my yogurt into a ceramic bowl. When I got to the cash register, the girl told me yogurt is done by weight so I should move it to a different container or else it would be "super expensive." I felt embarrassed but the girl got me a plastic cup to move it into. Not the best experience . . .

The Dorm. Dun Dun Duuuuuuuhh!!!

Hi again,

So today was the big day. The day I have been getting all worked up about. Remember all of the crazy OCDness I was having? Well I took all the drawings with me to the dorm. That crazy mess of stuff on my living room floor turned into a neat organized pile of boxes. Not bad right? It looks like a lot but I think it was just because of how I organized it all.

The top shelf wasn't as deep as
I had anticipated. As well as one of
the drawers.
After registering for my dorm and getting my key we all walked up to find my room. My roommates were there to greet me! They arrived earlier than me so they had a few days to unpack. It took me about 2 and a half hours to fully clean, prep, and organize my space. Some of my measurements ended up being off, but I improvised and managed to pull it off.
My linen bin couldn't fit so I improvised!
I also had to put my bags up on the top
shelf.

For a girl I think I did a good
job with taking a minimal
number of shoes. No?

Guess I thought I would have less food. . . Takes up the whole drawer!
That's why my bags had to go on the top shelf lol

My bed looks kind of boring, but it will do. I don't want to have
too much extra stuff crowding my bed area. My fridge fits
next to my bed. At least it is out of the way so nobody trips
on it. Going to get food to fill it tomorrow.

So that's a mini tour of my designated areas in my dorm room. It's not much, but it holds all my stuff. There's so much for me to do still that it kind of scares me. Looks like tomorrow I am planning out my week? Well maybe not the week, but making a to do list for sure. Hope this post helps anyone moving into a dorm. I think I fit a lot of stuff into my small space. Talk to you all soon!

Embassy Suites

Hello there,

I got to San Diego and got into the hotel room. It's a very nice hotel. Here's a few videos and a picture to show you!

That's what it looks like when we look down from
the 12th floor, our floor.

I haven't taken a bath in so many years. Probably like three years ago . . . I do shower though! lol It wasn't a very long bath, but at least I got to relax a bit. Something about the hotel makes it look fake. Like it's part of a set or a stage.

The cool part about the hotel is that there is a certain time period when we can go down to the lobby and get free foods! I got goldfish crackers, popcorn, and a french vanilla drink. Not normally a fan of coffee, but the french vanilla drinks mixed with hot cocoa gets me every time! You should try it!

Liebster Award?

Hi everyone!

I know I have been dragging my feet on this post . . . a while back my sister got nominated for this same award. I am not totally clear on what this is, but it's an outlet for bloggers with less than 200 followers to get more involved in the blogging community.

These are the rules:

  • Tell readers 11 things about you.
  • Answer the 11 questions the blogger who tagged you created.
  • Create 11 questions of your own for those you nominate to answer.
  • Nominate 11 fellow bloggers (with 200 or less followers) and tell them they have been nominated!

11 Things About Me:

  1. I have a scar on my middle finger of my left hand. When I was 8 (I think) I was practicing for my black belt test and cut my finger with my sword. After that, I was given a non sharp sword.
  2. I used to get bullied a lot in elementary school. Being 5 ft you can imagine how tiny I was over ten years ago. I can take any rude comments people have, but once they tease me about my height I can't take it.
  3. My favorite holiday is Christmas! A lot of not so good things have happened to me on that specific holiday, but I still love it. I enjoy the home decor the most. Sometimes I sit on the couch and just stare at the Christmas tree! Plus I don't do well with warm weather so I don't mind the cool weather.
  4. I do NOT like orange juice! I am not sure what it is about orange juice, but I just don't like it. I do consume oranges occasionally. I guess oranges aren't that great to me.
  5. In my freshman year of high school I had my heart set on attending FIDM or college. I had a crazy dream that I would one day become a famous designer. Now I am majoring in Human Biology and intend to become a medical examiner.
  6. This is not my proudest moment, but when I was maybe 6 years old I got in trouble for shoving a pea up my brother's nose . . . Let's just say my mom wasn't too pleased with me
  7. No matter how hot or cold it is I have all my covers over my head when I sleep. Not all the time, but a good 90% of the time. I am not sure why I do this. Somehow it helps me sleep better!
  8. My brother used to be allergic to anything and everything. I was always the one that had no allergies, but I am allergic to grass. So when people get to run around in the grass or wear slippers in the grass I can't. My feet will start to itch and turn red. When it's really bad I start to itch uncontrollably till I submerge my feet into cold water and scrub them with soap. Not fun at all.
  9. I am an incredibly slow eater at times. I've been told stories of how people would fall asleep trying to feed me when I was a baby. I know, it's pathetic. Thank goodness I am a bit faster now lol
  10. When I go to Islands to eat, I ALWAYS order the same thing. I get the Jr. Quesadilla with jack cheese and easy on the cheese with fries as my side. This may sound normal but then I dip my quesadilla in ketchup. . . Yes I am aware of the fact that I am a bit peculiar.
  11. When I was a little girl I told my dad that when I grew up I would drive a lime green beetle bug car. My favorite color was lime green for the looooongest time!

Answer 11 Questions From the Blogger:
  1. April from AprilJustinTV on YouTube inspires me. She is such a positive and high spirited person. Her husband Justin makes her life complete and they just compliment each other. Just by watching her videos I am inspired to become a better person. If you guys haven't checked out their channel you are missing out!
  2. I have no idea what talents I have. . . I guess I am pretty decent at doing my nails. I am also pretty good at reading people's minds. Or atleast I think so lol
  3. Something I am personally proud of. Hmmmm I guess I am proud of my improvement from elementary school. I used to be really mean to people, but now I am much nicer believe it or not. Some people still think I am cruel or bossy but I think I am a very caring person.
  4. The one thing I can't leave home without is my cell phone because I have some strange emotional attachment to it. This isn't because I am a crazy teen that's attached to her phone. I have panic attacks when people touch my phone. I believe I have this problem because this is the last item I got from my ex boyfriend. I have been getting better though! I don't think about him and the scars are healing quite well.
  5. My favorite makeup product is mascara! I have the typical short stiff Asian lashes so I enjoy applying mascara. I hate when my lashes clump together so I put on thin coats and use my heated eyelash curler to hold the curl.
  6. I would pay a million bucks for. . . no harm to come to my doggie. I treat her like my own child and I would be devastated if anything bad happens to her. To be honest I think she is treated like royalty lol She has so many toys and beds around the house. She gets treats and so much love.
  7. Scuba diving is the thing that I am looking forward to the most! I have been snorkeling but I have never gotten to scuba dive. Since UCSD offers scuba classes I decided that I will sign up and get certified! Sounds fun right?
  8. My go to outfit for Summer would have to be my American Eagle midi shorts that match my sister along with my neon yellow and black tank top. I love wearing my simple black slippers because they match everything and I am lazy! Go to outfit for Winter would be my black fleece pants, big blue hoodie, fuzzy socks, and Uggs.
  9. I have so many pet peeves that I think I have lost track. The one that comes to mind is when that one person shakes his/her leg during the middle of a test. Normally they sit right next to me or even worse behind me! Then my chair start to shake!
  10. If I could visit the past I would visit the dinos! I mean who wouldn't want to see all the giagnormous aminals!!! I really would want to see them though in all seriousness. I think that it would be an amazing experience and memory to have. Plus I have a special dino book I used to read when I was little. (It's a pop-up too!!)
  11. A rule that I swear by. That's a tough one. I will say chewing with your mouth closed. I find myself always correcting my little cousin. It's hilarious though because she stops chewing then realizes what I am telling her.

Create 11 Questions:
  1. If you could go back in time and give yourself one piece of advice, what would it be and why?
  2. What is the number one thing on your bucket list?
  3. Name one food you can't live without. No I don't mean the essentials, more like chocolate or peanut butter!
  4. What is your favorite nail polish? Upload a picture!
  5. What is your all time favorite movie?
  6. When you were younger what was one strange thing you would do?
  7. If you were an animal, which would you be and why?
  8. What do you think the ideal weather would be?
  9. If you could meet anyone in the world who would you choose to meet?
  10. Chocolate or Vanilla? Why?
  11. Would you rather be a mermaid or live in outer space?
I Choose:
  1. Love.Life.Beauty.
  2. College Beauty Buff
  3. The Nailasaurus
I am well aware of the fact that 3 does not equal 11. I just can't seem to find 11 bloggers I really like. Sooo congrats to you all! Please message me back letting me know when you upload your post!

Also thank you Awkaward Cheesecake for my nomination. It was a fun post to write!

April & Justin

Hi friends,

I finally finished my package for April and Justin from ApriJustinTV on YouTube. I found a mug a week or two ago when SJ and I were out shopping. It was kind of boring so I decorated it with sharpie and baked it.

I wrote a long letter and after writing it I thought it looked too boring so I added some art! In high school I would always doodle on my notes so I guess I've had practice in a way. The first page I drew some flowers, leaves, and vines.

Second is supposed to be clouds and the sun in the sky.

The third has leaves for fall as well as part of a tree.

Lastly is the word "Wish" accompanied by some dandelion puffs. When I was little I would pick these, make a wish, and blow on them to make the little fluffs go everywhere! The cool thing is that I actually used eye shadow to add color to my drawings. I love how they all turned out.
