First Day Of Spring Quarter

Evening,

I had a total of three classes today. Have the feeling that Mondays will be my easy(ish) days. Bob came into my room to wake me up to go to breakfast with her. Those of you that have seen how I sleep know that I sleep with my hand sticking out the top. So she poked my hand and I wiggled my fingers in my dream and real life lolz I could have slept till 9:15 yet I was up at 7:15.

Schatzi parked at Pangea and we walked to class together! We have/will have the same ASL class (as of now I am 1 on the wait list). In ASL classes they make us do role play activities where there are two different scripts, A and B. For the first role play I paired up with a friend I've always had ASL with, but for the second Schatzi and I were paired. It was the most perfect role play. My part told me to tell him about a time I saw someone cheat on a Math test, and ask him for advice on what I should do. This fits because last quarter someone tried to cheat off me during a Math midterm. I know right? His part said that he feels his girlfriend is lying about being jealous of his friendship with a childhood friend. He had to ask me what I think he should do about it. I found it funny because at some point last week he asked me if I was jealous because his childhood friend stayed at his house for a week. Having class with my boyfriend may not be such a bad thing after all.

Math class was in the same building but on the opposite side so you would think I could get a decent seat right? Well I got there 4 minutes into the 10 minute "passing period" and there was a whole mob of people trying to get in the room. I squeezed my way in and decided to just grab a seat instead of trying to get closer. Just so happens that I ended up in the seat I sat in to take that Math midterm! Technically I sat on the arm wrest/desk. I figured it would help because my teacher writes on the board and my eyesight ain't the best.

Last class of the day was Chem. Bob asked Schatzi if he would like to give us a ride over there, but he said no. Then as Bob, Schatzi, and I were walking towards the shuttle stop the shuttle passed by. I was thinking darn now we have to walk over and fast so we could get a decent spot. But then Schatzi said he would take us! Kind of hurt myself moving the front seat so I could get into the back, leaving Bob the front seat. The pain was still there on and off for a few hours actually. I'm all good now thouogh! We got to class 24ish minutes early. Thanks for the ride! The class brought back so many memories. I think I am nervous about taking this class. Have three online homework assignments already as well as a quiz next week. A nice welcome back present.

Later in the day I started to feel really down. Not sure why but it just happens I suppose. Bob, Sarah, and I hit the gym again to play racquet ball. I think we got laughed at a lot, but to be honest I couldn't care less. Had fun but now I have to get back to work :/

Pre-Spring Market Trip

Hi again!

Just made a run to the market. The blueberries are humongous! Looks like all healthy stuff right? Psych! I kinda got pringles too . . .

Last Day :(

Afternoon everyone!

Yes the time has come. It is officially the LAST day of Spring break for us UCSD goers. Spent the day with my amazing boyfriend! We woke at 7:30ish but didn't get outa bed till late. Schatzi wanted to go to Fashion Valley Mall for new Ugg slippers. It was my first time at that particular mall and it was really nice.

We went to a handful of stores one of which was Sephora. While we were lookin around a lady came up to us asking if I wanted to have someone introduce me to products. I was hesitant, but Schatzi told me to go for it. So I sat down with a lady while Schatzi took a trip to The Art of Shaving. Look at Schatzi's little shaving haul. Ain't that fancy?? There's something about facial hair that I don't like so Schatzi shaves it off for me even though he likes having his beard from time to time. He likes to use a straight razor which scares me a bit, but it does a very nice job. Schatzi used to end up bleeding after every shave, but he just used his new one and didn't bleed! Isn't he the sweetest? Looks so professional babe. Happy for you and your new products.

The lady tried a few things on me like a toner, exfoliant, moisturizer, and tinted sunscreen. I don't like to try new things because (bob says hi) then I feel obligated to purchase the product. I felt that she wanted me to purchase the sunscreen for $47 but I came up with a nice way to say no. I asked her if she could write down all the info so I could order it online. That way I could see how I like the product as time passes. She packed me 2 samples of what she used and a cleanser and sugar face exfoliant. Schatzi didn't get to buy me slippers at the Ugg store so he chose the teal/turquoise/sea foam green gel polish. He pointed out that he feels like a "non-person" when he walks through that store. I didn't notice that but the employees don't even glance at the males. Yet he ended up paying for my stuffs. Thanks again!

I really wanted ice cream so guess what? Yup, we got it! I got a kiddie size mango sorbet in a rainbow sprinkle chocolate waffle cone! Schatzi got a butter pecan shake! It was very yummy and I loved how the sprinkles crunched. Anything with sprinkles makes me happy tbh >.<

Y'all know I am super forgetful right? I forgot to buy notebooks for school, ya know the thing I came to San Diego for? Schatzi took me to Target to grab some. Then dropped me off at the lovely dorm.

Break seems to have passed over night. Did NOT feel like a week long break. I don't think I even slept in all that much during the week either. I did enjoy my time off though.

Time to do some laundry, cleaning, and a bit of reading. Maybe some mental preparation for a full week of classes.

Had an awesome time today though so thank you for that Schatzi :)

Cupcakes!

Hey there!

My friend's mom owns a bakery in town and it's been a while since I've gone. Started craving one of their yummylicious passion fruit cupcakes so I shot my friend a text. Bit of tag communication resulted in him delivering cupcakes this morning. Aren't they beautiful? The front two and back right are all the same flavor. The only exception is that mine has fondant on top! I'm not sure why but I love fondant! I think it makes everything better >.< The cupcake with the red ball on top is their signature which happens to be a chocolate cake with fresh raspberries and dark chocolate ganache. I only ordered the three passion fuit, but he added the signature for my mom. Isn't he sweet? I'm sure you all could guess, but the baby and I already devoured our cupcake.

Thanks again for delivering, and sorry I was in PJs!

Trip to Little Saigon (again)

Hi friends!

Remember the posts back in August about Little Saigon market and beauty store? Well we went back! I asked my mom if we could go back because that's where I found my favorite pair of falsies. Of course I went a little crazy at the beauty supply store right? I bought 16 face masks, a mini lotion, bottle of acetone, bottle of cuticle oil, super cute rhinestones, nail chart key chains, a mini glass cup like they use at the salons, and of course a pair of falsies! All that for a grand total of $24.30. Not too bad I'd say.

Mom said something about a big mall nearby so that's where we went to next. That's the outside. Sorry I couldn't get the whole building in the shot.

When we walked inside I felt like I was in a different country (I say that a lot huh?). There was a big glass case with an amethyst rock inside. Guess what my brother said about it. He said it looked like a fancy toilet!

Here's a little bit of what's in the mall. I was spoke to in Vietnamese a handful of times. I had NO clue what they were saying so I did a lot of "oh, no thank you" lol I did end up finding the exact lashes I wanted! They were 2 for 5 so I got 2.

There was traffic on the ride home and I remember my mom asking if I was going to take a nap. Then within five minutes I was out. Woke up with my neck all sore from hanging my head to the side at an odd angle. Felt like I was asleep for an hour, but I bet you it was just like 5 minutes!

Day 3

Morning everyone,

For the last day of Schatzi's stay we decided to go to the swapmeet. Just a small one in town. Cost was 50 cents per person. We didn't find too much, but we enjoyed being in each others company and that's all that truly matters right? I did end up purchasing two items. I got a gel polish, brand SensatioNail for $5 and the Sally Hansen Salon Insta-Gel set for $5! I'd say that was a steal. Although I realized later that the gel strips were missing. Good thing I decided to purchase the polish!

The previous day, on the way back from the thrift store, Schatzi had spotted a small stand alone hamburger place he wanted to try. So that's where we went to grab a bite to eat. I was surprised that the inside had so many booths. Our food wasn't bad at all. To be honest I think I would go back again.

He wanted to leave early to avoid traffic, but I told him he had to meet someone first. After lunch we headed over to the salon so I could get my eyebrows waxed and he could meet my friend. My eyebrows haven't been dealt with in over 11 weeks. Yes, they were crazy funky lookn! Feel so much better now that they are groomed. In the car ride over, the sky looked beautiful so of course I had to steal Schatzi's phone and snap a photo. Hard to tell from the photo, but the sky was two shades of blue.

Got home, did a quick sweep of the house and off he went back to San Diego. I'd say we did a decent amount in the time he was over. Next time we have to try out a few different places to eat and maybe hit some thrift stores downtown. Thanks for coming over Schatzi!

Day 2

Evening guys,

Sorry I am a day late with these posts, but by the end of the day I am drained. Yesterday Schatzi and I got up early and headed over to Marukai! For those of you that don't know what it is, Marukai is a Japanese grocery store. Was a quick trip but I got what I wanted! Got my umeboshi onigiri, green tea mix, strawberry circle masks, and a few other items. The main reason for the trip to Marukai was the musubi. Schatzi once described to me a snack he used to buy at the gas stations in Japan. As he described it to me I realized he was talking about onirigi.

I love to shop at thrift stores. There's one that is near by home so after dropping off groceries we headed on over to it. I got this dress, blouse, and tank top for $7. Not too bad I suppose. When I was there my eyes were drawn to two pairs of figure skates. I would have gotten them, but something told me mom wouldn't be too keen on that idea. Also in due time I will buy myself a new pair. By then it was time for lunch and I was randomly craving Indian food! Got my usual veggie samosas, rice, and naan. Not sure what the name of what Schatzi got, but it couldn't have been too bad since he ate it. He said he prefers white rice over the Indian rice. I was like say waaa?? I love me some Indian rice!

Going to bed late and waking up early made us both tired. After lunch Schatzi took a nap while I watched some Undercover Boss and blogged. Before coming over he had mentioned the idea of taking me out on a date and even wearing a suit. I thought he was crazy because I don't know of many places around here that would require a suit. There are probably a lot, but I just don't know they exist because I don't go to those places. I told him that, and he said doesn't matter where we go. He said a date with a beautiful woman is a good enough reason to wear a suit. Believe me, I tried to convince him not to wear one on and off for a few hours. To be honest, I can't believe he actually brought the suit! It was so adorable when he asked me "Brittney will you go out on a date with me?" He looked up a handful of restaurants I may like to try out. I give him credit for dealing with my crazy pickiness. We decided on Macaroni Grill for our dinner.

Before we had to leave I kept telling him not to wear the suit. We went to my room to see if I even had anything to wear to match his level of formalness. He told me I could go in what I had on which happened to be a white sweater and black sweat pants and he would still not look as good as I did. (Is he not the sweetest?) Of course I couldn't do that! I chose a dress that I had bought a few months back from where? Yes, a thrift store!! Added a thin black belt and my $7 shoes.

The deal was that if I let him wear his suit then he would shave so while he shaved I did my makeup. He thought I would enjoy getting all dressed up. You know what? He was so right. I used to go to dances and that best part would be having a reason to get all dolled up. Don't think my fam knew we were going to get all fancy so of course my mom wanted us to take a picture. After my brother snapped a few for us off we went to dinner!

I wasn't terribly hungry so I decided on an appetizer while Schatzi got an entree.

When I go to a restaurant that sells Italian soda I like to order one. I don't have carbinated drinks very often so figure why not? My usual is raspberry Italian soda with the cream on the side, but our waitress suggested the peach over the raspberry. The taste was familiar, but I couldn't figure out exactly what it remineded me of. Then Schatzi tried it and said it tasted like those orange ring shaped candies. Peach O's!

It was my first time eating at a Macaroni Grill so when the waitress came to our table and wrote her name upside down and backwards I thought she was writing random letters and numbers lol it was so cool though! Might've taken me a good while to get over that bit.

Schatzi had originally wanted to take me to dinner and a movie, but we didn't find any worth while movies at the local theater. For someone that's not even from here, he does a good job at finding things to do. He found a drive-in theater! He had never been to one before and neither had I so it was perfect. We watched Non-Stop. I loved the movie. It made me keep thinking and guessing the whole time. I'd suggest y'all go and see it if you're into that sort of movie. Also, the experience of going to a drive-in theater was quite pleasant. No worrying about people sitting in front of you, screaming children, people making out, sitting on gum, etc. The only down side would be not having a bathroom available. I think I would choose the drive-in over a regular theater. Thank you for suggesting it btw Schatzi. Great idea, as always.

Seems like every day is perfect right? Well turns out they are perfect. Got to do some shopping, eat great food, get all dolled up, and see a movie. Schatzi wasn't lying when he said he looks good in a suit. Very nice :) Was a change to only be 8 inches shorter than you instead of the usual 13?

Hope it will always be this enjoyable and exciting <3

Day 1

Hi friends,

So Schatzi got here at 7 am in yesterday. Figured after getting up early and driving over here that he would want to have a calm relaxing day. We didn't do anything too exciting. He watches AprilJustinTV with me and due to school we fell behind by 16 episodes! We had a bit of a marathon (still not all caught up though). Everyone that knows me knows how much my baby means to me. I can happily say that my baby loves him. She did bark for the first few minutes but not nearly as much as she has at others in the past.

Schatzi kept me company while I completed two more of my flower crowns. We watched more YouTube and I decided it was a good time to give him his gift. More like let him open it lol I was a bit nervous because he had guessed earlier in the day that I wrapped a shirt. Then when we were watching AprilJustinTV they showed a cute blanky for Liam that had "Baby Liam" embroidered in the middle. He said that the words were small and that made me worry. The shirt Bob helped me customize for Schatzi looked perfect online, but the font was a bit on the small side. Didn't expect it at all.

Took Schatzi up to his room and told him to go ahead and open it. He read the card and moved on to the present. The look on his face when he finally managed to open the wrapping paper told me that I chose the right thing. We laughed over the shirt and he told me how much he loves me. I'm sure you guys are a bit curious about the meaning behind the word choice right? Schatzi says "it is what it is" ALL the time. He would hardly notice when he says it, but now that I laugh or smile every time I think he notices. I call it his catch phrase lol Schatzi has liked me for quite a while. Originally I had a boyfriend, but that ended back in December. I didn't think of Schatzi in a boyfriend way, but as time progressed I realized how amazing he really is. I told him I needed some time. I didn't think I was ready to get into another relationship. The old me would have said yes and been his girlfriend once he asked, but I'm workin on myself. He told me that when I'm ready I can ask him out. I like to do more than needed because it makes things a bit more special. So that was my idea. A shirt with his catch phrase on it! In green to match his eyes of course. I knew he would say yes to me asking him out. To link the shirt with the card I wrote that I am predy sure he would say yes but if not . . . (then he opened the gift and say the shirt).

He claims to like everything I've made in the kitchen so I decided to make him my crowd pleasing cheesecake flan. If you've had it then you understand. Schatzi helped me out with cracking the eggs and putting the pan in and out of the oven. Learned that he can do that cool thing! I guess not everybody thinks it's cool, but I can't do it. He can crack an egg with one hand! Maybe one day I'll learn too. Had the cheesecake for dessert and turns out that he loved it. He didn't even share with the baby.

Finished the day with watching The Wedding Date. I know he didn't wana see it, but he watched it :P If you've never seen it I'd say it's worth watching. At least once.

It was a calm relaxing easy day. He is used to me being stressed out with school work so it was nice to be able to focus on our time together.

Love you :)

Finally Free From Finals~

Morning friends!

Yup I am FREEEE! Sorry I haven't been giving you guys a whole lot of reading material, but I will be able to do more now that I get a week off!

So let's back track a tiny bit . . .

I had a math final, an MMW final, and two ASL finals.

Monday: MMW- map identification, image identification and explanation, paired IDs, 2 one page answers, and one two to three page essay.

Tuesday: ASL analysis- 75 multiple choice

Wednesday: ASL conversation: 10 minutes total, "Role Play", describing a picture, making up a story
Math: 8 problems, made up of 12 parts out of a total of 70 points

It was a busy time since Friday. Schatzi and I went out to dinner. He had bought me a helmet the day before so this time I rode his motorcycle instead of having to ride the bus! It was quite an experience I must say. (Will elaborate more next time) He let me choose so I chose Bluefin Fusion. It's a Japanese restaurant so I'm sure you all can guess what I ordered. Yup! Thoroughly enjoyed my dinner. Thanks again babe!

I did some math on Friday and all day Saturday. Then MMW all day Sunday into Monday mornin. Woke up early Monday and got some last minute studying in. After I walked out of that final I felt like I had sandbags lifted off my shoulders! I was still worried about my 3rd essay grade, but that's a different story. ASL analysis wasn't too bad, but the conversation was difficult because it is hard to prepare for. When I sat down, I chose a slip of paper that said I had just come back from living with a Deaf family while attending Galladet and I need to tell my roommate/friend how my experience differed from living at home with my hearing family. After I was done struggling through that, I chose a picture. I honestly don't understand where they get these photos from! It was what I believed to be a sculpture of a fat man, bald, no eyebrows, a tiny orangey red cone hat, with bulging eyes. Made up a somewhat decent story, but not sure how I did to be honest. After ASL I went to pick up my 3rd MMW essay. Turns out I did better than I thought I would have!! Then hours of math X.X scarfed down dinner and off to math! I felt good coming out of it so I hope that reflects on final grade. Like my final day of finals outfit? New VS top that I bought from someone for $3. It's super comfy and soft! I have been feeling my white shorts lately. Not sure why, but loving em!

Love to stay and chat, but I have a date with the ice skating rink!

Pi Day!

Hey they beautiful people!

*Click HERE to listen to Michael Buble's It's a Beautiful Day*

Let's start off by admiring how gorgeous today is. Such perfect weather here at UCSD. Around 70 degrees, 2 mph winds, 59% humidity. Oh, can you guys guess where on campus I am? Guess in the comments below!

So for all of you that aren't aware, it just so happens to be Pi Day! You know, 3.141592653589..... I haven't had pie yet. But I DID have a yummy vanilla milkshake with whip cream and caramel drizzled on top! Ever have trouble holding a really cold drink? Try this next time.

Put the coffee collar around your cold drink and voila! No more frozen fingers or wet hands! Enjoy your beverages!

I wish I could sit here for another hour, but off to Calculus tutoring I go :/

Catch up with y'all laters! Take a few moments to sit out in the sun!

Finals Snack!

Afternoon everyone!

I have a handful of posts on the To Do List, but finals and school work need to come first right? I was sitting on my usual spot on the couch in the common room when I remembered I hadn't checked my UCSD email yet. So I checked and saw an email from the parcel station! I didn't recall ordering anything so I was a bit confused. Bob and I took a quick trip to the parcel station and there it was! A nice brown box with my name on it! Not to mention the crazy amount of tape on it lol JK not that crazy. My mom and I always tape over the entire paper with the address on it. The tape protects the paper and ink from getting all messed up. Plus it is always a blast taping a box up! You get a form of satisfaction out of perfectly taping it up. If ya don;t know what I am talking about, give it a try! Mom packed me packages of yummyful chestnuts!! I know that when this weekend comes I will be snacking quite a bit. I can now go into the weekend knowing I have a healthy snack for brain food!

Thank you mom!

Gospel Choir Concert!

Morning guys,

I really wana sleep, but I am determined to upload this blog.

As most of you know, I am in Gospel Choir here at UCSD! To get the 2 units, we have to attend 2 concerts. March 4th was the mandatory formal concert. Sarah was kind enough to record the performance for Bob, Dory, and I. Down side is that the quality isn't that great. I apologize, but at least you guys get an idea of what went down!

A few summers ago I created a YouTube channel so I could make nail tutorials! But SJ didn't give much support and I lost motivation. Who knew my first videos would be me in Gospel Choir!! Figured it was easier for me to upload them to YouTube than attempt to upload them directly to this page. I hope you guys enjoy! I had a blast, maybe a little too much fun.

Nail Stuffs

Afternoon guys,

My parents came down yesterday and I asked them to bring a ton of my stuff. Amongst the stuff I asked for a good portion of my nail polishes and tools. I never really thought about how much I actually have . . .

Here's some of the non-polish items. Crazy right? The crazier thing is that I still want more!! Maybe I am a tad bit obsessed. It's a passion though!

Blueberry Muffin Breakfast

Morning friends!

Woke a minute before Schatzi's alarm went off at 7:00. He said he would make me blueberry muffins since it would be my first meal off my diet! So he started baking while I fell back asleep for a bit. It was so satisfying waking up to the smell of fresh baked muffins. Smelled delicious, but he said he had burnt them. I find it hilarious because he bakes all sorts of things during the holidays, but a box mix of blueberry muffin mix gave him a hard time! They don't look that bad right? The tops were perfect in my opinion! Nice and brown, toasty, warm!

So off he went on his motorcycle to fetch another box of muffin mix. Here he is placing the foil cups into the muffin pan. I have a question for you guys. At home I was told to use the foil not the papers between the foils. Are both the foil and paper usable? I mean not the paper that come on their own, but the ones that separate the foils ones themselves. Schatzi made a good point though. He said maybe to use the foil then place the paper inside since the muffins would stick to the foil. Sooo maybe the paper would help and the foil is for looks?

I spilled a bit on the edges, but there they are before they went into the oven. Front corner of four have chocolate chips!

Since Schatzi was making muffins I decided to try Blogilates' banana pancakes! Just cuz I am off the diet doesn't mean I should go tooo crazy right? I peeled and mashed a banana in a bowl. Then added two eggs

Not a bad breakfast if you ask me! I usually put butter on my muffins, but I recently found out that this isn't the norm. Many of my friends have never put butter on their muffins, Schatzi included. Do you guys put butter on your muffins? Or do you eat them plain?

It's just Schatzi and I so of course we had leftovers. He was so kind as to pack me up some to take back to my dorm!

Thanks for breakfast Schatzi
