World Curry

Hi everyone,

Schatzi and I went to see the new X-Men movie. A few weeks ago he told me that we had to go see it so he and I watched First Class. I actually liked it too! We went to Fashion Valley to watch the new one today. Was surprised at how much I enjoyed it! When Schatzi and I were sitting, second row from the front, he pointed out how this is our first movie and food date. I mean we went to the drive in, but that's a bit different. Guess it has taken two months of dating to go on the most typical new couples date

A while back I got a good deal on a curry place nearby(ish). It was a $20 voucher for $10. I waited till the last minute to purchase though so it was $9 for a $20 voucher! I love curry so I thought why not?! Been wanting to go since I got em, but never got the chance to. I'm not big on trying new places, but I figured I'm familiar with curry. The service was not so great because she didn't bring Schatzi's soda or naan, but the food was delicious! Not a fan of the cabbage salad stuff at the start.

I got the Japanese curry with white meat chicken, potatoes, carrots, and Jasmine rice. Not the exact same as home's but pretty darn close!











Schatzi got the katsu curry with potatoes, and Jasmine rice.








Before we went I had looked online at the menu and saw they had banana fritter. That was really yummy! Bananas fried in egg roll wrappers drizzled in caramel and topped with a lil powdered sugar! It was nice
and crisp on the outside, soft and hot on the inside. Would totally order it all again! Or maybe I will try something new.



As of today, it has been exactly two months since I asked Schatzi out. Remember the cupcake from yesterday? Well I had asked Schatzi if he wanted one, but he said no. I figured I would get one anyways. I bought it around 1:15 and wouldn't be back at the dorm till after 8 so I got a cup from the dining hall, filled it with ice, added some water, and put the cupcake in its container in it. I'd say it worked well enough.  This one is salted caramel! Haven't eaten it yet, but I'm sure it'll be tasty.

After Schatzi showered he let me try to shave his face. I was really scared that I would end up cutting him. I was pretty slow lol and I did cut him. Nothing major! Just a tiny cut. Felt terrible when he flinched. After I showered I put the Sacred Truth mask on my face and Schatzi let me put some on his face too! It's been three days since I last used it. My face felt all silky smooth after. Schatzi's too!

Overall, I think Schatzi and I had a relaxing enjoyable two monthiversary. I love you :)

Lil Miss Short Cakes

Afternoon everyone,

It has been a hectic, stressful, emotional roller coaster the last handful of days. Been trying to watch my weight on top of it too. Remember the day there were those food trucks on UCSD campus? Well there was a cupcake food truck today! Or is it a cupcake truck? Either way Schatzi and I decided I deserved one. Not really sure why I do though because I woke up late and am behind in the homework category of my life. I got the Raspberry Lemonade cupcake! I would upload the photo but my phone is kind of dying . . . so it won't send the picture. I will say that it is a cute presentation. Although I would have done it way different. Maybe some real raspberries and a mini bendy straw instead of the straight one. The cake itself is very moist. The frosting is a tad bit tart. Not bad for a lil cupcake. Check em out here!

I called Schatzi after I bought it and told him how it made me want to make cupcakes. Guess what he told me. He said I could bake some this weekend! It's been a while since I last got to bake so I think it's time to bake something! Tell me what your favorite cupcake is!

The Bruise II

Hi everybody,

So what have I been up to? Did someone's nails. I drew what could be called daisies on her nails and accented them with caviar beads.

Also did mine the other week Just a simple light pink ombre with glitter.

Had another evil chem midterm Thursday night. Didn't have time to really eat dinner and since the test went from 8:30-10:20 pm I couldn't get food from a dining hall. Schatzi was so sweet and offered to grab me food and have it for when I finished my test. Finished a bit early and texted him. By the time Bob and I got back from the test, Schatzi was sitting outside our building. It's adorable. Not sure how to explain it but he does this thing with his feet. I guess you could say he stretches out his legs, heels on the ground, and kind of wiggles his feet. Lol yeaaa  don't know. Back to food. This was my yummy dinner! Had half and saved the rest for later.

Late Thursday night I decided to do my nails. Kind of a failed attempt, but there they are. From thumb to pinky they read: 14 S.G, BAM, POP, ?!.., !!! 





Spent the weekend with Schatzi. It's been a while. I mean maybe like two weeks or so. He and I both had papers and homework to work on, so we agreed that a sleepover wasn't the best idea. This weekend was nice. We watched one of the Ninja Turtle movies and We're The Millers. I will say one was funnier than the other and one was more interesting than the other.

You guys all know by now that I am picky. Schatzi knows too and he tries to make me food that he thinks I would enjoy. This weekend he made me a Dump Cake. Sounds odd right? Well I think he and I were both pleasantly surprised by the finished product. I got to take some back to the dorm with me! I mean I usually get to have some here, but I packed it myself this time lol You guys should totally try it! I thought it would be far too sweet at first, but I think the cinnamon kind of balances the sweetness. He's been cooking recipes from this cookbook since he got it in the mail. Think mom got him hooked. Pretty soon he will have cooked his way through the entire book!

Before he dropped me off at school today we swung by UTC. I've been in need of a refill of my face mask. My poor face has been suffering for far too long! Was bummed when the lady said they were out of Oatifix. So I decided to try a new mask. This one is called The Sacred Truth. Also needed a new slice of soap. This time you can tell it was cut from the big flower soap.



Lastly, I decided I would try Grease Lightening. My first time at Lush I was wanting to try this, but wasn't down to pay so much for such a small bottle. Guess I was ready this time. Used it after I washed my face. Hope it works as well as people say it does.

Not too busy of a week. Unless I have over looked something O.O As far as I know I have a math midterm, an MMW workshop, and probably chem help room. Aside from school my aunt is coming to visit! We (my aunt, Schatzi, and I) are going out to dinner. She is kind enough to be willing to take a few bags of my stuff back home to make the end of the quarter move go a bit smoother. So gotta finish packing those!


I'd like to get a bit more rest than I did last week. I was sleeping at 1-2 am then getting up between 6:56 and 8ish. Now that I look at it, seems like a decent amount of sleep. Was also working out nearly every day. Which is something I need to get back to. I stopped working out Thursday night lol Guess that tells me what I'm doing tonight before shower time!

Oh, almost forgot! I got another bruise! This time it was entirely my fault. Ain't they just beautiful? When I first started to ride Schatzi's motorcycle I would get on first and slide back to my seat. But now I get on second. Schatzi gets on and holds his hand out for me. So I grab his hand and put my left foot on his foot peg. What happens next is something like mounting a horse. I think that may be the best way to describe it. Well I had some issues and I may have hit the part of my leg on the back light or something. I knew I had a bruise this time. The second it happened I felt the pain. Oh yea I did. Didn't know I had two bruises though. They aren't that bad this time. The location is more inconvenient though. I tend to rest my elbow right there on my leg. Done it twice today :/ Give em some time and everything will be back to normal!

Mother's Day & Birthday

Morning!

This weekend as you all know is Mother's Day weekend. My grandma's birthday happens to fall around that special day so my family celebrates both special occasions at once. Due to my favorite class, MMW, and my chemistry teacher I couldn't make it home. My dad sent me pixs from the family dinner. They went out to Luicille's!! Can't believed I missed that. I feel bad for not going home, but what made things worse was that three people couldn't make it. Well four if you count me. My family is small to start with so missing four people is a big deal. If I counted correctly, only eight people were there.


On a happier note, look at how pretty the cake was! Loving the floral print on the white chocolate accent pieces. Also wishing I could have eaten that macaron! Such an elegant looking cake. The mini rose adds the perfect feminine touch too!








Sorry I couldn't be home for your special day mom. I hope you find some time today to relax. You do so much all year. Enjoy your day and I hope you like what I sent in the mail! Happy Mother's Day!

Pulled Pork?

Evening,

After finishing my math homework at the lab I paid Pines a visit. There weren't many options because it IS Friday night. Didn't feel like salad or pizza or fries. Wanted a real meal so this is what i got! Surprising right? Nearly half a plate of meat accompanied with roasted seasoned potatoes. Really wanted a biscuit or roll with it, but of course they didn't have any. So made a piece of toast. Must say it was a delicious dinner!

Probably one of the fastest posts I've written. Why? Because I've been squatting while writing this >.<

Grapes & Gatoradeg

Afternoon guys,

Been feeling a bit on the dehydrated side the past few days. Probably doesn't help that my big water container/jug in the dorm has been empty . . . Since I got up this morning I've had half a bottle of water, a mango/banana/strawberry smoothie, red milk tea, and now this. Schatzi suggested I drink Powerade, but the market only had Gatorade. Don't drink it very often so it's kind of strange having it here with me lol Think last time I had Gatorade was back in my tennis days. Coach would bring us the cute little bottles. Oh, the grapes I got because they were in the fruit plastic container. Plus been trying to avoid terribly unhealthy snack foods. Figured this will last me a few days worth of snack.

Choc Strawberry Girl

Hey there,

Today was a busy day. I had a bit of down time (an hour) to eat lunch so I met Sarah at Pines. Lines were all crazy so I got the easy unhealthy option, pizza. She had to leave me after 15ish minutes so I walked over to Roots to get out of the cold. While I was reviewing my Chem notebook I decided I'd get myself a Chiller. Remember those? Yea, it's been a long time hasn't it? Today's special was Raspberry lemonade. Sounds better than it turned out to be though.


I was sitting there minding my own business looking down at my notes when a random girl came up to me and asked if I would like her strawberry. She had two and couldn't finish one. I was surprised anyone would do that. I accepted and thanked her. It was delicious! The chocolate had a nice crunch to it and the strawberry was juicy!

The Sun Burn

Hi everybody,

Don't have too much time to write this, but let me share some key points with you.







Went to the beach today with Bob and Schatzi (he left within 3 minutes of getting there). Had to walk there because we kind of missed the bus.

Wore swim bottoms and a tank top.

Flashed my first car today. On accident! Was hot waiting for the
bus in the sun so I moved my straps to the side a bit. That's when one side of my top decided to fall down. Hope people thought it was just part of my swimsuit since I WAS wearing a bikini bottom. OR hope that nobody saw it happen . . .




The sand was so pretty!






Got back to school and knocked out on the couch. Was so dang tired.

Showered and saw this new design on me. Like it? Doesn't hurt too much. Yet lol

It'll fade eventually.

Bruised Where?

Yes, hi again!

Earlier in the week I discovered this lovely bruise. Scared me at first because I caught a glimpse of a dark shape on the inside of my left thigh. I thought it was blood so I tried to wipe it off, and when nothing was happening I decided to walk to the common room. I say that because the lights in the room were off and it was bright in the common room. That's when I saw it was a bruise. How the heck did that happen?!?!! Took me a good while to try to figure out how I could have gotten it.

I walked to my first class, ASL, still confused about my bruise. Schatzi came into class and I showed him the picture. He suggested that maybe it was from the bike. Remember that day he and I went to the ASL Deaf World extra credit? Well we were riding down a road with a lot of speed bumps. As we approached one I noticed he wasn't slowing down. He didn't see it, and we both got a bit of air for a few moments lol

The location of the bruise makes perfect sense too. I got on his bike last night and yeaaaa that spot hurt a bit. It'll be gone within a few more days.

FIDM?

Hi again!

Sooooo my high school made us write a paper/report each year related to choosing a college or career. My freshman year I chose FIDM. I wanted to grow up to become a fashion designer. Yes, I am serious. May sound like a joke to some, but it wasn't to me at the time. I thought that one day I could have my own line of clothing too. I mean wouldn't that be awesome?!?!!

A suite mate of mine came to me for help. With what? She is attending a party this evening. Sounds normal right? Well it's an anything but clothes party. I don't think I have ever heard of this type of party before . . . Regardless, I agreed to help her make an outfit! After a sheet, two scarves, and maybe half an hour we came up with this! Not the most amazing dress, but I feel good about it. What do y'all think?

Definitely not FIDM material, but it'll do. She and I were saying how she would probably be one of the least slutty looking girls. I think it's too formal looking for the party, but oh well lol
