Minion Cookies

Evening guys,

Aren't these adorable?!? Back on the 25th of June my mom surprised me with these guys! These type of cookies, the ones that come in the sheet of little circles, are one of the BEST cookies out there! I love how they change with the seasons. Sometimes you can find Christmas trees, hearts, shamrocks, etc. If you haven't had a chance to try Pillsbury's cookies I highly suggest you do!

It's The Fourth?

Hey guys!

How was your 4th of July?

I got to sleep in till 9 which I very much enjoyed. Work was 3-10:30. Since I wasn't going anywhere to celebrate the holiday I decided to do my makeup. I did go back and fourth in my head about if I should wipe it all off or go to work with my decorated eyelids.

Still a tad bit embarrassed I went into work like this, but I did. Oh and please excuse the messy eyebrows.

Went into work and found out I was closing even though I was scheduled till only 10:30. What made it a bit more odd was that one of my coworkers was put on the deployment to close two areas of the cafe. So we were short a person. On the bright side I got to make some food! Not so bright side, I was taking orders then running to make them, then back to take more orders. Due to the shortage my precloser didn't get to finish his job. So I got to wear this and scamper up the ladder to pull crumb cakes in the freezer.

Ended up staying there till 11:44pm. I was exhausted by then. I think it's still hitting me right now because I feel rather sluggish. I did get to see one firework on my drive home! That was pretty cool! I enjoy watching fireworks, but I don't like the smell and how extra loud they are. Guess that means I can watch from inside an air conditioned home or from bed on the TV!

Beauty And The Beast Nails?

Hello again,

Seem to be on a bit of a roll with catching up here huh? Well last week my classmate and I had to be done with our entry to our class' 4D Disney fantasy nail art competition. I will say I was not too fond of the idea of spending, time, money, and so much effort on a set of nails that won't help me pass my state exam, but I did have some fun.

From the title I assume you've all guessed the movie I chose. The nails didn't turn out as I would have liked them.

The idea behind the designs . . .

One hand for Belle is meant to have an elegant look. The dress, book scene at the fountain with the sheep, Belle walking through the town, the rose, and the magic mirror.

The other hand represents the Beast. Blue for the color of his suit.  The Beast himself, roses, the dying rose, the creepy forest scene.

Sad part was after the judging where we had to essentially destroy the masterpiece. Here's the aftermath.

Apparently the judges liked our set of nails over the other competitors. We won first! Believe me, we were both very surprised.

Ariana's Acrylics

Hi guys,

Yesterday at school I got the option to take a client. When I went downstairs I found a young lady. Turns out Ariana was 12 years old, 13 now since today is her birthday! I was very impressed with her level of maturity. Here's the finished product!

Full Hand!

Hi,

I did it! After going from one nail to two I upped it to a whole five! First time was stilleto, second time was pointed, and now coffins! I would like to have them a bit longer so I could emphasize the shape, but doesn't go too well with my job.

Pinky: black polish, gel top coat, rhinestones.

Ring and index: smokey polish (mixed it myself), black polka dots, gel top coat.

Middle: silver polish, gel top coat, acrylic bow (made it).

Thumb: gunmetal grey glitter polish, gel top coat.

What do you think about these guys? I think I actually like them. Good length for someone new to acrylic enhancements. A bit of a girly touch to my usual dark look.

Second Sculpture

Evening,

After my first attempt at sculptured nails on my hand I thought I would give it another shot. This time two fingers! I love these ones more than the first nail I made.

Black acrylic with clear acrylic on top. The diamond shaped sparklies are embedded in the layers of the acrylic to create the design.

File, buff, gel top coat and bam! I felt so sad when I had to say good bye to these two nails.

First Sculpture

Hey there,

At the end of May I created my first ever sculptured nail on a real finger. This was also my first acrylic nail on myself! Not too shabby. A stiletto nail with gel top coat, rhinestones, and a 4D acrylic rose. Coolest part is that the specific acrylic I used to create this nail glows in the dark!
